my upcoming taiwan trip

for the past few days i've been having odd emotions, from happiness, to sadness, to worry and pain. i don't know how to describe all these at one shot, and maybe i dont really want to. some things are best known to only the people that it applies to.

anyway, because of deadlines, i've been worrying a lot about stuff, which i guess makes me easily sick and cranky. so sorry to the PIXELS who have to bear with my sicknesses and ...yes crankiness for so long.

besides that, on a higher note, i'm actually going overseas this year!!! yes im going to taiwan. i know quite surprising, since chinese is NOT my forte. =P but it will be the first trip we've ever had as a "family" in sooooooooooooooo long. =) i can't wait~~~ let my introduce the people who are going with me...

my cousin shalene. she's the same age as me, but a few months older =(.

my sister and my other cousin kenneth. yes they're the same age too, but you can tell they're a few years away from me and my cousin. =) childish, funny, and i love them~

my uncle lim. he's the father of kenneth and shalene. he's usually not as red as he looks here, but this was taken after he drank half a bottle of the rice wine janice and i bought when we were still in miyazaki. =)

ok... the one on the extreme right, my auntie becky, and the one nearest to the camera, my grandmother. they're going to be there with us too~ my grandfather will be there too!!! they're such a cute couple, really silly and goofy. =)

its sad that my dad won't make it, but initially we didn't plan on going at all, seeing that my father can't make it. but after my grandmother called, and it seemed clear that both families wanted us to go. apparently we were the element of fun. so my mom planned on going along, but at the last minute, my sis and i joined in too. then date became a problem because of different holidays.

so the final date was chosen as the 15th of december... which meant that i had to cut one day of school.

but... this will be the first in 6 years that i'm actually going back on a holiday with my two cousins and their family, and the first time since i was 2 when i went overseas with my grandmother and grandfather. we'll probably be half of the tourgroup xD.

honestly i can't wait. like our chalets which we wont hold anymore, i find that it's going to be a good thing, looking forward to something while all the deadlines pile up. least there's something to look forward to, as xiuzhi mentioned.

so yes, i'll be gone from the 15th to the 21st. i promise i'll buy stuff back if i find nice stuff~ maybe buy some poison thingy for eugene like sze did. xD we'll see. =P

sad point, we'll be flying off at 6am, so i have absolutely no time to call anyone to say goodbye, not that they'll be awake anyway. but anyway... yeah.

i decided to make another update. yes. =) erms though i really got nothing much to say. =P ok i went to the ACM for the "Let's Go Japan" carnival thing today. really stupid seeing there was nothing much there. eugene left earlier than us, so we missed him. but we got the OPPORTUNITY to see Alex, a friend from LTC.

yeah... found out i'm suffering from WIND... makes me have stomach pains.. =( wait thats definitely not a good thing. =p

nevermind, we went suntec later, walked around like crazy people, before deciding to walk to marina square. =P i "bought" (bought meaning he paid for it first, but im gonna pay him back later). a very cute doggie. i christianed her "Keiko". globby should know why. ^^

anyway... after that i went home. =p and then i decided to go home for dinner. =P well yes that's my entry today. nothing much.

oh yeah~ i found out that ms peters knows xia xue. =p like that's a big deal. hmmm. =p

yes. since xiuzhi has admitted that i havent posted in a while.. let me do the wonderful job of publishing a new post. these few days ive been busy.. going out with the MILE group, buying stuff etc etc.

it seems to happen that everytime that i pass a birthday.. i'll go on a mini shopping spree.. =X

i went for the musical on friday, really sad that the bbq at janice's place was cancelled... was kinda looking forward to it... sorry janice... we do it another time? =(

the musical was pretty interesting.. though the beginning was slightly confusing. i spotted shen about 3 times, and melissa at least 2. i think it was her anyway.

interesting point to note was that the actor acting as jun liang, pulled himself up using the president's hand. the whole crowd went "wahhhhhh". rafik and sky's actors couldn't stop shaking hands with the president...

pretty funny musical... a lot of play with english. not that i was bent on going for the musical... but now that its over... it really wasnt that bad.. =) good job to the guys doing it~ the director was really quite talented.

hmm what else? i cant really recall what happened. oh yeah. went out to meeting the mile group on saturday... but i was too lazy to eat.. since we ate lunch at 330... and dinner was around 5. =X we watched as the others ate... hehe. then we went to suntec. etcetc. weeeee~~~

today was one of the most interesting birthdays i ever had. since 12am in the morning, my friends and cousins have been spamming my sms to wish me a happy birthday. thank you to these guys who have sms-ed me.

anyway, this morning i went to school, didnt feel remotely like my birthday. this woman made me squished in the MRT, and made me lean backwards so got my back slightly sprained because of that. a few people messaged me to wish me a happy birthday.

after wards, we all met for lecture... really boring. phyphy wore her disco jacket~ look how shiny it is!!!












after the meeting with the MMR group, the NUXE+Sandy celebrated my birthday for me... by showering me with my first presents for the day (not including my sis', which of course she gave me the last night).



ok... this is the present part 1 that the girls got me... its a combination of chocolate and sweets... i promised them that i would give a commentary as soon as i ate it...

the round little thing on the bottom had a bitter outer covering... and stupid me decided to lick it... bitterrrrr.. but after biting into it... it was filled with sweet and wet chocolate~ heavenly!!!

the little white square one was sweet, but it had a small little biscuit filling, sorta tasted like high class kinder bueno, =D the rest i havent touched.

then... the second part of my present compromised of this pretty little monkey. its really cute and the limbs can be PULLED!!! =D hahaha. very interesting. thanks to sandy, xiuzhi, phyllis and janice for the monkey and chocolates. =) GLOMPZ!








after that ne, i went out with kaifon.. interesting. he and i both skipped class to do that. he brought me out to suntec again.. where i ate lunch. nothing really interesting yet.. =p after eating lunch, we started walking to takashimaya... because our dinner was situated at Waraku.. at Starhub Centre near OG... yes. we ended up at... hm.. where was that? oh yeah raffles place. =) he then bought me a bunch of pretty flowers..



pretty ne? hehehe. first set of really purple flowers that i got. =) arigatou ne kai~










then we took a break at mos... =p where he gave me a bracelet.. my second present. ok now im really too lazy to take pics anymore. so... unto it.

then we went for dinner! look what i had for dinner. =)




its called yakiniku nabe.. kai was very tempted to say the nabe.. but the waitress was female. oh well... =P hehehehe. i made him eat raw salmon. he said it tasted raw. DUH. =X hehehehe. =p









then ne... we went to meet the mile group: sze, kristie, alvin, jason, geraldine, kimiko, joannah and lionel. the sweet group actually pulled in money to get me a present. LOOK!




they said its kaifon... for me to hit when he gets on my nerves. ah well its a cute piggy.. so okkkayyyy. =p thanks guys!!!! really cute piggy. =)









then ne... we came back. really tired. my parents had a last surprise waiting for me... a nice fruit cake... made of sour mango. really sourr.

a few more days till 18

recently piles of things have been going on, which made me wonder whether i really have the capability to continue on, living each day like this.

ive just finished writing two proposals for both the miyazaki and hokkaido camp, and have just decided to join in the press conference this february. i dont even know what made me do it, but yes i did it. i dont know why, dont ask.

its like with school work, gems and CCA, everything's been off my head, and i've only been in school for a week - a day. my only point of relaxation is that i get to see him everyday. its like a calming point. i know that to a certain extent some people aren't comfortable with it yet, nor will they ever will be, and some things just make it seem that nothing's going to make it any better, so ive given up bothering about it.

now thinking back, im wondering if agreeing to the press conference is a good idea. with all the pros and cons to it, i dont know what's going to go on now. especially with two teams with CLEARLY DIFFERENT IDEAS working together, its hard to get a common understanding especially when one clearly cannot work with at least 3 of us up to date.

maybe im just being overboard, but i cant help but feel that sometimes these things arent worth thinking about. many people have told me this, and i feel i should finally believe them.

as soon as my birthday comes, and i get enough money from it, im going on a heavenly shopping spree to get my mind off these little things. i shall go spoil myself for a day to forget about these hassles of life.

until then, i'll wait it out. i have a lot of things to do. mile gathering etc etc. =p cant wait for it to come. ^^

first day of school

today school started. its still usual.. except with the difference of janice's absence. its kinda different, but still its school.

oddly enough, school was more boring than its ever been. ive already skipped one class. im going to keep track on it, to make sure that my LOA and what-nots are not going to waste. =)

nothing exceptional happened during the school days, except for the exception of "miami MICE" as xiuzhi would have put it, which janice then further changed to "my yummy mice".

today i felt i was being slightly unreasonable for certain reasons, and i dont even know why i was. im sorryyy. i really am.

i still find it hard to believe that mrs lim found out about it so soon.. but then again it was bound to happen. janice says its a good thing: i dont know why.. one day i shall get her to explain it to me. =)

welcome me my bolster

just came back from LTC. feel like phyllis after she came back from myanmar. though a cruise and a chalet-like room isnt exactly the definition of "uncivilised", i missed my bolster!!! =P plus i was sick half the time, so it really wasn't as enjoyable as it could have been.

we boarded SSV (super star virgo), and had dinner at bella vista. started off with some tuna cheese thing, and then the soup, which jimmy christianed asparagus soup, then the main course, a choice between beef and fish. aloysius, nick and i picked the beef, while jimmy and kaifon ate the wonderfully small piece of meat that was known as fish. after that, we had desert.. which was this wonderfully designed cake with a chocolate bit on top! =D then we went for briefing.. boring. heard it three times xD.

we then went snorkling the next day. kaifon couldn't swim, so i basically dragged him back and forth around the current. that's when we bumped into.. mrs lim. yes quite amazed that she could swim!

anyway, at redang, i fell sick, so i didnt play too many games except the last one, which was like amazing race redang. the most ridiculous clue was this: Sharks at the Bay: hard rock says "i love redang". we searched for a plaque that said that, only to find that it was chalk "graffitti" on a rock... very blur.

i met my hyper roommates, joanne, chris and siusiu. really nice people. i made connections with them, especially siusiu, who knew xiao ran, alvin and kah fei.

then we took the bus back. our bus uncle was mimicking initial d, driving the bus to the maximum, not stopping for anything or anyone. it shot across roads, weaving in and out on single lanes. amazing driver. we ended up reaching at least 1/2 hr before the other three buses.

yes then i got home. now very sleepy. talking to sze.. going to bed soon as soon as i have some supper. super star virgo wasn't as glamourous as i thought it was. we met some japanese people, and they seemed to recognise us when we walked past them: probably because we were wearing the same blue shirts, where they were wearing their same orange outfits.

in a few hour's time i'll be leaving to japan. yeah i wish. no actually i'll be leaving to have dinner with the principal and to rest during a cruise. yeaaaah ok thats half true. truth is i'll be going for LTC. its like training, only worse. only consolation is that my friends will be there with me. but first, i have to get down with the gems. =D hehehe. ^^see you guys~

ive finally finished packing my luggage. tomorrow's LTC. =) then its back to school. this holiday was jam packed with activities, but its been fulfilling, for many reasons. now im watching amazing race 10.. interesting. feels like its more competitive. oh well.

hm.. im still running on lack of sleep. i guess i'd take an early night tonight. ^^

LTC's feeling very odd right about now.. i mean, it doesnt sound as bad as eugene's. it just feels like one big camp. the itinery is basically the same as miyazaki and any other predeparture camps that we've done.. learning to work together, learning to do stuff together.. weirdddddd.. well at least its not free labor, like eugene says. =)

guess you can also say that im feeling slightly hypocritical. i know im being silly, but i feel that way. its hard to act normal when everyone around you is saying things that either do not make sense or its just mean. i dont intend to say who or what words have been mentioned, because it serves no direct purpose. but it just feels odd.. i guess you can say that. i suppose i'd get used to it.. but not anytime soon. =)

hahaha. we had a great day at the chalet. pigging out and eating a lot of rubbish. for the pics, go to the link that's at the side, under.. special days. =) well.. lets see. we went to take a lot of pictures, because the scenery was beeeautttiiifuuulll. then we barbequed... played on the swings and all. i loved that day.

unfortunately, the next day i had to go to school for LTC training.. in the end sat there for 4 hours listening to NO apologies workshop. utterly useless if you ask me. =( but the rest was more or less ok. even though now im really confused xD

then i went back, ate some maggie mee, and went cycling. it doesnt look interesting cos im not putting the pictures here: its too many to put.

just got back slightly after 1.. had a short conversation with kaifon, before deciding that im gonna took my own dinner. yes im cooking xD amazing ne?

well. im supposed to be on the way to a chalet right about now, but as you can probably see, im nowhere near there. actually im still at home. yep waiting for janice to call before making my way there via taxi. this time, for once i wont be able to stay the full length of the chalet, though im gonna be rushing back and forth the whole time.

i have about 4 bags to carry. have no idea whatsoever as to how im gonna manage everything there. ah well. one step at a time.

quite looking forward to the barbequing, even though im really sick. i especially cant wait to meet phyphy. havent seen her in sooooo long.. i wan hug the koala bear. =)

today is another day

today ne. woke up at around 6am. went blading with xiuzhi. actually we walked more than we bladed. like we said, it seemed as though everytime im with xiuzhi, it requires a lot a lot of walking. sadly. now i cant feel my feet.

xiuzhi progressed well in blading, at least she could walk on her own after a while, which was better than the wobbly beginning she started with. after about 1 hour i sat on the table for a rest, while she continued on skating.

we were half scouting for the barbeque pit too. note guys, if you read this before the 12th. beware: the pit is quite far.

the other half was spent walking back and forth, wondering where the other shop was. apparently all the shops were closed down, so we had to use that old uncle's shop. =( but it was a nice, younger uncle.

then afterward ne, kaifon met me at kovan, to help me carry stuff. =) arigatou~ then afterward, he sent me near my house, before walking home. then he realised he was a little too early.. so he went home xD then i went to unpack my stuff and watch some television. =)

today i realised that i havent gone to buy chalet stuff. OOPS! thats really sad. now i have to chiong. i just realised chalet is on tuesday!!! ahhhh.. that means school starting soon. really really really sad. still got to somehow juggle LTC and chalet at the same time. no idea how im going to do it. ahh well.

now everything's cropping up again. AH must remind eugene tomorrow he need to go school! crap he not online. NOOOOOOOOOOO!!!! =( now i got to call him T_T nooooooooo... my phone bill!!!

this is a weird scenario that im mentioning below.

my sis has been constantly failing her A maths, so my mom hired my past tutor. however, after about 1 year with him, she's still failing. im pretty sure that its due to personal issues and reasons that she cant manage the teacher.

however, she's trying to tell my parents that she wants to try without a maths tutor now that she's failing. thats sounds really ludacris to me, honestly. she's in sec 3 now, and if she fails her maths, she might very well be retained. its honestly not the right year to test her wonderful skills.

these are the arguments:

1) because i have a tutor, i dont pay attention in class, having the mindset that he would teach me

2) i want to be independent and believe in myself

these are the same arguments i have made time and again, and im sure in my heart its not going to work. its the same arguments that everyone makes when they dont want a tutor. i believe that it has nothing to do with the tutor's capabilities, because he pulled me up from a score of 19 to a distinction. its only that every time i see her in tution class, she's either not paying attention or not bothering to really listen. both my tutors have agreed that she and i are not the same when it comes to tution: i for one dont move around too much.

now she just got out of the house. reallllllly thats not going to work. family argument taking place outside, and im peacefully hiding in my room, doing absolutely nothing to help her. because honestly, i dont believe her statements. i know in times like these sisters are supposed to stand by each other. but i feel that if i do support her, its only going to have a bad toll on her studies. im not supporting her because i do believe that by doing so she will have progress. they say sometimes you have to hurt the ones you love. i very dearly want to help her, and stand by her side, but i know that once she fails maths, its more or less over. if she fails a maths, she wont be able to take it next year. i wonder if she knows that...

she's going kill the argument. this argument that's going on right now wont take long. its the same sentence that she's repeating. i dont want to get myself involved in this one argument because it will just turn sour, and she probably needs someone to complain to later.

hms. today was an odd day. dont really know what happened, and due to certain reasons i dont think its a good idea to say it here, now. maybe some other time.

kaifon met me near my house, where we walked to the foodcourt to get food to eat, before heading to the hair salon. i finally dyed my hair. and managed to prevent kaifon from taking a photo during ungraceful moments.

we then toured the world. no actually we started at kovan, headed to sengkang. kaifon bought me the gooey stuff for my throat. havent put it in the fridge yet though.

kaifon and i went to his place afterward, to get his father's car.. of which i must add that i refused to enter the house xD

then we drove there. kaifon drove, as he said, lorry style.

we then went to send szeyuan off with kaifon and eugene. szeyuan was so happy to see us. no im kidding. had some food with the guys (rajan, alvin, kah fei, lionel, sze, eugene and kaifon), then they left. kaifon and i then continued on our journey around T1 and T2.

afterward, he sent me home, and here i am. =)

you might notice that this post is slightly shorter and lacking in material, but that's done for a purpose. like i said in the beginning, its best for now, not to write too much.

rantings of an idiot

you know how it is when you're sick: you desperately want rest and peace, and something soothing for your throat. but for the past two days, i never got any of that.

i had to do the laundry for my mom, because she was sick. i had to do the dishes for my sister, because she was sick. and ive been eating nothing but bad food, because my parents are forcing me to.

it's obvious, at least to me, that i was the sickest, (sorry my brain not working, so english a little tweaked) but no one seemed to notice that i was sick, or that i was having my holidays. can't blame them: i've been in school almost everyday.
